Involving young people has been a key focus, with direct collaborations and long-term engagement across schools and colleges. The approach centres on learning through participation, fieldwork, and connecting students to their local ecological context.
Currently, activities are supported in government schools across Alwar, Dausa, Jaipur, and Ajmer districts, mainly with middle and senior students. These include ecological restoration on school grounds, groundwater recharge, and nutrition gardens. Students plant and care for trees, maintain kitchen gardens, and learn about local water and soil systems. Exposure visits link classroom learning to practical experiences on organic farms and sites of ecological or historical significance. An ecology-based, play-centred learning module is also being developed for experiential education in government schools.
Beyond schools, college students and young professionals participate through internships and volunteering. Since 2022–23, over 40 interns and volunteers from institutions like Fergusson College, Shiv Nadar University, Ashoka University, Azim Premji University, KRVIA, and the Food Systems Multiversity have contributed to ongoing projects. These experiences offer the young practical exposure to ecology, community engagement, and long-term conservation in action
