To turn campus interventions into lasting learning, Sambhaav engaged students in a mix of classroom sessions and hands-on activities. Lessons focused on understanding the new rainwater harvesting systems and the importance of the diverse tree species planted around their schools. This practical approach encouraged students to become active caretakers, like at Rajkiya Uchcha Madhyamik Vidhyalaya, Choru, where children took responsibility for nurturing individual trees.
Learning extended beyond the classroom through exposure visits, where students, staff, and parents experienced local examples of ecological restoration, native plant cultivation, and sustainable resource management. These trips provided opportunities to observe community-based conservation efforts and explore the region’s environmental history, helping participants connect classroom projects to broader ecological and cultural contexts.
Interns from Sambhaav were also involved in covering topics like biodiversity, plastics, climate change through play-based learning modules across few schools in the region.Through these immersive experiences, students developed a meaningful connection to their environment and a deeper understanding of sustainability in their daily lives.
