VOLUNTEER AND INTERN

Sambhaav welcomes volunteers and interns who want to learn by doing—both in the field and remotely. Our work spans forest, commons, and water conservation; organic farming; the creation of local seed banks and nurseries; working with government schools across Rajasthan on ecology and education; and documenting traditional ecological wisdom across Rajasthan’s different ecoregions.

Interns and volunteer support ongoing programmes through fieldwork, research, documentation, content writing, mapping, data analysis, and community engagement, over periods ranging from 4 to 12 weeks, depending on their interests and skills. Students can also do their dissertation / thesis work with Sambhaav.

We currently collaborate with around 20 colleges. In the past year, students from Ferguson College conducted geology-related research in Jaisalmer, while students from Shiv Nadar University conducted a biodiversity survey in South Rajasthan. These experiences offer hands-on exposure to ecology, research, and grassroots action.

Internships and volunteers with us offers students the opportunity to learn and engage with work rooted in Nature, Culture, and Cooperation—to build meaningful personal and professional networks, and to contribute to social and ecological change on the ground.

Interested volunteers and interns can apply through our Google Form.
